Terms of Service

Last updated July 15, 2026

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of the paid Premium subscription of the Shalotte application, offered by Felix Wolf, Dieselstraße 10, 61118 Bad Vilbel ("we", "us"). They apply accordingly to free use where relevant. Deviating terms of the user do not apply.

2. Subject of the contract

Shalotte Premium unlocks additional features (including unlimited inventory, unlimited "Surprise Me", the Sous Chef, and weekly Inspire planning). The scope of features follows the current product description in the app.

3. Formation of the contract

The contract is formed when the user completes checkout via the payment provider Stripe and expressly confirms the obligation to pay ("order with obligation to pay"). A registered user account is required.

4. Prices and payment

The Premium subscription costs £6/month at the amount shown at the time the contract is concluded. Billing is charged in advance for each billing period via Stripe. Any applicable statutory taxes are included in the displayed price or shown separately.

5. Free trial

New customers can try Shalotte Premium free for 7 days. A payment method must be provided to activate the trial. Unless the subscription is cancelled before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription and the payment method is charged. Cancellation during the trial is possible at any time and avoids any charge.

6. Term and cancellation

The subscription runs on a monthly basis and renews automatically for one further month unless cancelled. The user may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is straightforward and without giving reasons, via the "Cancel contracts here" button (§ 312k German Civil Code) and in the account under Settings. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded pro rata.

7. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details and the model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal policy (/widerruf). For digital services the right of withdrawal may lapse early if you have expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right.

8. Availability and liability

We strive for high availability of the service but do not owe uninterrupted accessibility. Recipe and nutrition suggestions generated by Shalotte are aids and do not replace professional advice; using them is at your own responsibility. We are liable only for intent and gross negligence and for the breach of essential contractual duties (cardinal obligations), in the latter case limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the Product Liability Act and for injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms with effect for the future where necessary to adapt to changed legal or technical circumstances. We will give timely notice of material changes. If the user does not object within the stated period, the changes are deemed accepted; we will separately point out the right to object and its consequences.

10. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the consumer's country of habitual residence remain unaffected. Contact: hello@shalotte.com. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.

These terms apply to the paid Premium subscription. While Shalotte is in free beta, no fees are charged.
